First Hymns is a collection of favorite church and Sunday School songs for early beginners. Each song has an optional duet that is simple and flexible, using I, IV, V and V7 chords (chord symbols included), allowing the duet parts to be used either with the songs in the book, separately for vocal accompaniment, with guitar, or for improvisational practice. The duets can be utilized later as well, and teacher and student can trade places as progress is made. This is a flexible book that meets a variety of needs, but mostly allows the student to play familiar and fun Christian songs!
